I wish I could be in France this year to celebrate this special day in France, the 14th July.
July 14, often called la fête nationale in France, became an official holiday in 1880. From the beginning, speeches, military parades, and fireworks, along with public revelry, were part of the celebration. The slogan “Vive le 14 juillet!” (“Long live the 14th of July!”) has continued to be associated with the day. The holiday came to be celebrated in the former French colonies and is observed in those places maintaining links to France.
La Bourgogne, vue du ciel Burgundy, view from the sky
This area in France is known for its world-class wines, its cheeses (OK, OK most places in France are) but also for fine living in general.
Burgundy is also a colour, named after the colour of the wine. Most villages in the area gave their names to a grand cru, like Meursault, Gevrey-Chambertin, Vougeot and many more.”
⛲ A great day yesterday with friends. Meeting up with the lovely amazing lady Danielle Boaler (BA HONS, FRENCH AND SPANISH) – and her twin sis Emily Nicole Boaler BA Hons French, Spanish and Italian for the 1st time after connecting via LinkedIn for 1 year💖🌹
🌺 So nice to see in person a connection made on line.
💭Even if for 1 year we made contact on line _ video chats, phones calls, emails nothing with replace the face to face contact to really appreciate the people. We even got the opportunity to speak French and Italian as they are both language speakers of these languages too.
🎊 I am also so pleased that Danielle Boaler (BA HONS, FRENCH AND SPANISH) – accepted to be part of my Lingo Mix team from the beginning of my language school. Feel free to check out her profile. She is our English and Spanish teacher.

For your travel ideas: one of the most beautiful and visited regions in France
It is commonly shortened to PACA; also known as Région Sud, is one of the eighteen regions of France, the far southeastern on the mainland. Its largest city is Marseille. The largest cities in the region are Marseille, Nice, Toulon, and Aix-en-Provence. This region is one of the most visited of France. Why?
Who is not attracted by the sun and the sea? With the mediterranean climate that this region benefits, we can easily understand why the turism is the driving force of this region. Feel free to have a look at some of the Most Beautiful Towns in Provence: https://theculturetrip.com/europe/france/articles/the-10-most-beautiful-towns-in-provence/
I give you one clue to know that you are in Provence region? When you can hear the cicada of Provence. It is so fascinating to hear this noise everywhere in summer time, and if you do not know what it is the noise you can hear, ask the locals, they will tell you for sure the story of this insect present in Provence – it can be disturbing also as very noisy, especially if you are coming from another region.
I could talk about the lovely fruit and olive trees, lavender, sunflower fields, warm sea, culture that captivated me when I lived there for 5 years before coming to England. It is a fascinating region, I strongly recommend to visit if you want a taste of the mediterranean climate in France.
