Do not be scared of getting out of your comfort zone.

Last night I had an amazing time organising what I like=
International Language event with my monthly Lingo Mix practise our favorite languages, in collaboration with  DuolingoEvents

Usually before the lockdown I used to gather multicultural people and share our passion for languages

Online it is another experience, a new challenge when it is about 50 people joining, a different setting than sitting around different tables to practice our languages

I was a bit nervous, dealing with many people as I was not used to so many and dealing with the technology to place everyone in different breakout rooms to practice their languages = it was a great and challenging experience

Five years ago I organised a French meetup in Milton Keynes with the help of a dear friend.
The main subject was to show unity after the attack on Charlie Hebdo in Paris.
The attendees, who represented many nationalities all contributed to decorating a canvas to express thier unity against this attack against free speech.

This banner was later given to The Milton Keynes News and mkweb who published a photo and a short article on 21st January 2015 – still viewable online thanks to the Internet Archive.

What are the typical drinks in your native countries you love and you can’t see in the foreign country you are living now?

If you go to France, you can order des “sirops à l’eau” for about 1, 2 euros.
You choose the flavour of the sirup, mint, strawberry, peach….. And you add water, so refreshing, cheap and for me the best drink in summer time ❤️ Et voilà
